In my cyberspace garage, you would find lots of muscle cars!
First and foremost, would be a Plymouth Superbird and/or a Dodge Daytona from 1969-1970!
I have been in love with this car since I saw one when I worked at
Keystone Drag Strip in 1979. I got a job there when I was only turning 16
mostly because it was only about 1/2 mile from my home. I worked there from
1979 until 1987. While there I met lots of nice people and saw TONS of nice cars
I mainly liked the Heavy Class that ran; and of course on nights
when the Jet Dragsters were there! If you've never seen these cars up close and personal
You don't know what you're missing!!
I have to say that you never get
racing, loud engines, tires squeeling, & rubber burning out of your system!
The louder the car the better!!
My parents own about 100 acres that touches the end of the strip
So I'm sure I'll always have access to that noise I love!
I have only driven down the 1/4 mile strip once in my friends 1967 Cougar.
The Cougar is my second vehicle love! I also like Super Bee's with 440 six packs
Chargers, Cuda's, 1969 Chevelles, 1963 Corvette's with split back windows, AMX's,
1986 Monte Carlo SS's (which I used to own w/my ex-husband), 1970 Monte Carlo's,
& Jaguar's, plus lots of others that are nice, but not on my Garage List!!
Although I don't have any of these in my own personal garage,
I will some day (at least one)
at least by the time my kids are out of my house & can afford all my hobbies!!
My first car was actually a Ford Pinto with standard shift; it was ugly,
but went great in the snow! I used to ride dirt bikes and snowmobiles
when I was a teenager, so as soon as my son (or my daughter) gets old enough,
he'll have a dirt bike, maybe a snowmobile & a muscle car so we can all go to the track!!
